He has a hospital to run, I don't think he'd abandon it to take on the entire city.

Besides, most of the public...I...Dr. Pyke hasn't made a favorable impression on the necessary social circles, beyond acquiring the necessary funding to keep the medical center running. But that's mostly involved appealing to the charitable sensibilities of the wealthy.

Not for victory, certainly. Even the most charismatic among us could never win the support of the majority of the city. But if we ran a formidable enough campaign, we could at least compel the frontrunner to make promises to us.

I'm not saying I disapproved. I'm saying I was surprised, because I'd never even heard the man so much as speak to her before. I'd not even known she had a newcomer partner. You do understand the difference in nuance between surprise and disapproval, correct?
